Baptism is a personal decision, but it isn’t something to be celebrated alone. We love getting to share these moments with the people taking that step and everyone cheering them on!

There isn’t one right way to show up on Sunday.
You might sing with both hands up. You might stand quietly and take it in. You might find that the conversation in the lobby is the part you needed most.
Different Sundays meet us differently, and we’re glad there’s room for all of it. 💛
So many people have been part of Decatur City since the very beginning, faithfully showing up and serving our church.
One of them is Sarah Stipe, a worship leader who has been with us since our days at Emory and continues to lead worship across so many of our environments.

🧸 Preschool and elementary school can bring big feelings, new routines, and the challenge of learning how to be a good friend.
🌀 Middle school can make you wonder where you fit and whether everyone else feels as awkward as you sometimes do.
🎓 High school brings pressure around friendships, grades, relationships, and whatever comes next.
☕ Adult life can feel like caring for everyone else while trying to find a little room to breathe yourself.
Every week, people walk into Decatur City with real things happening in their lives. Nobody has to have everything figured out.
Whatever season you’re in, there’s space to show up as you are! 💛
Not every thought deserves the final word.
Fear can make a possibility feel like a certainty. Before it decides what happens next, pause, name what is true, and bring the thought to God.

Most of us ask the question without even thinking about it: “How are you?”
And most of us have a go-to answer: “Good.”
Sometimes “good” really means good. Other weeks, it doesn’t.
Our hope is that Decatur City would be a place where you can celebrate when things truly are good and feel comfortable saying, “Honestly, things aren’t so good right now,” when they aren’t.
Whether you arrive with family and friends or come by yourself, we hope Sunday gives you a place to feel comfortable, be honest about how you’re doing, and reset for the week ahead. 💛
