Room escapes began with the 90's point-and-click adventure PC games that focused on searching and puzzle solving. A live escape puts you inside the game with a team to physically participate in the story. This activity, besides being great entertainment, is designed to get a group focused on leadership and team building as they work together using the available tools combined with logic to escape the room in a set period of time. For those groups that don’t solve the puzzle in time, they still get out of the room to take a group pic and the post-game talk begins on where they could have worked together better to accomplish the mission. The groups that do get out in time get bragging rights and a picture. Teams are made of 2 – 12 people and each game runs for 25 minutes. At the conclusion of each game, there is a 10 minute break while the finishing team takes group photos and the room is reset for the next team. Our standard package runs the room for 4 hours and 5 minutes and allows up to 84 people to play. Additional hours can be added for longer events and more teams, as can a second copy of any room to allow two teams to play at one time.

The SMAC team at USM had so much fun that it seems like they were the real winners this week! They had The Philosopher and The Mystery on Mount Olympus rooms, but we only got a photo of one team! Look, there they are, and you can be just like them when you book us!

Flashback Friday to when we brought our escape rooms to SUNY - Oswego a couple of years ago! Even though some of them couldn't escape in time, they still had a great time!
