Amvets Post 1955 meets monthly (with the exception of December) on the 4th Tuesday at 6:00 PM in the Turner-Surles Community Center, 702 Sycamore Street NW, Decatur, AL 35601.

Who is eligible for AMVETS Membership?
Veterans: Anyone who has served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Current Service Members: Individuals currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
National Guard and Reserves: Both active and honorably discharged National Guard and Reserve members.
Merchant Marine: Wartime members of the Merchant Marine are also eligible.
Allied Nation Service: Those who served in the armed forces of an allied nation under honorable conditions between September 15, 1940, and May 8, 1975.
