ANHC's new College Avenue pharmacy and first Mobile Unit welcomed 700+ neighbors to their Back-to-School Celebration!

🎒 They gave 500 children backpacks filled with school supplies, along with free food, fun, music, and the opportunity to meet UGA football players!

💜 A Life-Saving Connection

During a community outreach event through the Lazarus Project, an East Georgia Healthcare Center team member distributed Narcan and provided education on how it can reverse an opioid overdose.

Later, it was learned that one of the Narcan kits distributed at the event was used during an overdose emergency—and helped save a life.

It’s a powerful reminder that outreach is about more than numbers. A simple interaction and a lifesaving resource can make a difference when every second counts.

💙 Connecting People to Care

Maria, a court liaison and community outreach representative at CPACS Cosmo Health Center, works throughout Gwinnett and Fulton counties to connect people with affordable healthcare and behavioral health services.

Her outreach recently helped establish a partnership with Fulton County Juvenile Court, creating a new pathway to care for individuals and families.

Good Samaritan Health hosted its Stakeholder Appreciation Brunch, which brought together approximately 30 community leaders, elected officials, partners, board members, volunteers, and members of our leadership team joined us, including representatives from the Appalachian Judicial Circuit, Pickens County Sheriff's Office, Pickens County School District, Pickens County Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Primary Care Association, and State Representative Rick Jasperse.

Its partnership with the Appalachian Judicial Circuit and its Accountability Court is one example of the power of these relationships. Through this partnership, Accountability Court participants can receive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services through Good Samaritan.
