This month, DeKalb County CASA proudly recognizes the family members, family friends, and loved ones who step up when children need them most.

Kinship caregivers, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, and close family friends, provide more than a home. They provide comfort, stability, connection, and a sense of belonging during times of uncertainty.

By keeping children connected to their families, cultures, and communities, kinship caregivers help preserve important relationships and support children's well-being and growth.
