What the World Cup Taught Our CIO About Investing

This summer, our CIO found himself watching soccer differently than he expected. Not the ball, not the goals, but the players without possession. The runs, the positioning, the discipline to hold a spot even when the spotlight never lands on you.

Turns out that's investing too. The highlight reel moments get all the attention, but reality keeps score on everything else: the quiet decisions, the discipline, the things nobody notices.

Being right about what's happening in the market isn't the same as knowing what to do about it. That's why our approach doesn't change with the headlines. Goal focused. Plan driven. Long-term.

Chip is one of our summer interns, and off the clock you'll find him on the rugby pitch, putting in the same toughness and teamwork on the field that he brings to the office. He's also an avid traveler, always looking for the next place to explore, and has a genuine passion for genealogy.

We've loved having Chip work with us this summer and know he has a bright future ahead!

Our team was honored to be a sponsor at this year's Breakthrough T1D Tee Up Golf Classic in North Kingstown, RI, celebrating 25 years of this incredible event.

Since its start in 2002, the tournament has become the longest running charity golf tournament in Rhode Island, raising more than $2.6 million toward type 1 diabetes research and progress.

It was a privilege to be part of a milestone year and to support a mission working toward a world without T1D.
