Deerfield Public Library

📚 New at the Library: PIN Logins!

We're upgrading our account security — here's what's changing 🔐 Starting now, when you log into your library account (app or desktop), you'll enter a 4-digit PIN instead of your full name.
🔑 Your PIN = the last 4 digits of your library card number
Use it to:
✅ Place holds
✅ Renew items
✅ Check your current holds
✅ And more!

You might notice a few hiccups as we roll this out — thanks for bearing with us! Questions? Give us a call at 📞 847.945.3311.

Happy National Library Card Sign Up Month! We signed up one of our most beloved patrons for her first library card. 🐷🩷

🐽 There once was a pig named Penelope
🐽 Who was determined to read aplenty
🐽 But she needed a Deerfield Library Card, or she'd leave sad and empty
🐽 Penelope brought her caregiver to the library; he needed to show proof of a Deerfield address.
🐽 And once she was handed her library card, Penelope got ALL the access.
🐽 She began to browse, looking at book after book.
🐽 After selecting book four, she could carry no more.
🐽 She used her new card to swipe and scan.
🐽 This was not easy when you had hoofs for hands.
🐽 After the dings of the machine went quiet, she knew she was done.
🐽 With her new books in her lap, Penelope sat down and read each one.

We are Movin' & Groovin' twice this month, on Tuesday, Sept 15 & Sept 29! Make sure you've got your dance pants on for this drop-in program, ages 0-5 years!🕺🪩
