AKA - ADMO Chapter

Join ADMO for this special afternoon presentation from advanced researchers in our Genealogy Squad. Though it is well-documented that many Black Americans find it difficult to break through the 1870 “brick wall” of census data and enslavement, we have persisted and done so successfully. Come hear more about our remarkable discoveries and a few notable ancestors, and learn some tips and tricks of the trade to get you started on your own genealogical journey. Library staff will be on-hand to provide details on the genealogy resources available on-site for the public. Register via the QR code or link in bio. Space is limited.

Whuhchall know about a Charterversary?? The Pretty Girls of ADMO invite you to join us for a jam celebrating one year on our pearl-strewn and tea rose-adorned journey.

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday Oct 17. All adults welcome. Full details coming soon.

The end of ADMO’s program year kicks off with promoting literacy to DelCo’s teens. Join us on Sun Sep 13 and bring new or gently used age-appropriate books, then have a bite and sip with our members. Your donations will go to the amazing young ladies housed at Cater 2 You in Upper Darby.

RAIN DATE ACTIVATED! Postponed, but not deterred. We hope to see you all tomorrow for ADMO’s first Adopt A Highway service day at Mt Lawn Cemetery. In addition to the needed clean-up gear, we’ll have snacks and a tent for you to take breaks, as needed. Weather will be a little warm, but not like last week’s downpours, so we hope you can come assist in this effort…for all or part of the designated time.

Please enter Mt. Lawn at the main entrance on Hook Road (coming from Philadelphia/ Lindbergh Blvd). You will see pink and green balloons as well as a police car. Registration link in bio.

REMINDER: Come out and hang out with the Ladies of ADMO this evening! If golfing in the heat isn’t your thing, we will also be chilling (literally) indoors. Learn about our upcoming programs and how we’re making an impact in DelCo! Use the QR code or link in bio to register.

It it the final theme of 2026 and this one is all about adornment! Get yourself a little something shiny for your ears or your wrist. Happy Freedom Day! For this Juneteenth installment of , you are being asked to invest in yourself and your community. Secure a Black professional to advise you on securing the bag for your long-term stability and fulfillment.
