Frame Artistry

Here’s a great idea for a very meaningful gift at Christmas time!

I so love to do these family heirloom pieces. This was done by my customer’s Grand Father in the 70’s. It’s a Crewel 3D embroidery project, many years later it was discovered rolled up and in a box and needed to be seen. Things like this framed nicely brings a genuine warmth to your home and a conversation starter as well.

So when you purchase a canvas painting online, or on a cruise, generally, they come to you rolled up and before you can frame them you’re going to need to have them stretched on a canvas stretcher. Here I just completed one of those that was 40“ x 60“. The customer did not want to frame it at this time, so I gallery wrapped the canvas so it would show nice on the wall. This large of a canvas required having center supports on the canvas stretcher, but this pays for itself in presentation, believe me! It won’t warp against your wall and It will continue to look nice. Of course I’d love to also frame those canvases, so don’t leave that idea out. Hope to see you soon with a Framing project for me.
It’s the Art of Presentation that enhances any piece of artwork.

It has been a while since I posted, but I wanted to share a project that I thoroughly enjoyed working on as a gift for two friends who are expecting their first child. Both friends are music teachers and have a deep passion for music. Using my artistic and framing skills, I created a cartoon animal band that they absolutely loved! It brings me joy to make others happy!

For Artists and Art enthusiasts there is a wonderful art series called Perspective. Look for it on YouTube. Enjoy it as I have!

It was a pleasure to doing this project, mainly for the reason that it was a reframe project that the customer was willing to go with the best of the latest materials.
