Our Mission: Providing relief to our neighbors in their time of need. People In Need, Inc.
of Delaware County Ohio (PIN) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) social services agency dedicated to providing emergency assistance to Delaware County residents since 1981. Beginning as a small pantry in the basement of a local church, PIN today has grown to be the largest food pantry in Delaware County. In 2022, we provided our neighbors in need with 418,000 meals and assisted in Emergency Services which impacted 10,000 individuals. From Mortgage Assistance and Eviction Prevention to Utility Assistance and School Shoes, PIN’s programs are all aimed at helping our neighbors maintain a healthy, quality life during their time of need. The Holiday Clearing House in December has become a staple of the Delaware County community since its pre-PIN founding in 1954. Following astronomical growth in 2020, the program has welcomed 1,000 children every year with toys and gifts, winter coats, meals, and holiday cheer.

Alena Saladin, our AmeriCorps VISTA Capacity Building Associate, is making a big impact! Her position, hosted through the Ohio Association of Foodbanks ShareCorps program, is strengthening support for our services throughout Delaware County.
A recent Capital University graduate, Alena also previously served as a Community Engagement intern with PIN. She looks forward to building on her previous experience: “I’ve always wanted a job where I can help my community and make a difference."

🥫 Join us TODAY for a community food drive at Kroger Marketplace Lewis Center! We are collecting donations of our most needed items for the families we serve throughout Delaware County.
We’ll be here, alongside our friends from Orange Township, Delaware County, Ohio Fire, until 1:30 p.m.!

🚨 EXTENDED ONE WEEK ‼️
Due to volunteer feedback and our altered September hours, the application deadline for the 72nd Annual Holiday Clearing House has been extended through Fri., Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. (OR until capacity is reached.) Very limited spots remain in both our family and senior programs.
To participate, families and seniors must apply, be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, and be approved through our online application to participate. All supporting information must be accurate and complete when submitting your application.
If you have already applied, you do not need to resubmit. All program communication will be sent to the email address included on your application.

🎉 🛒 A grand opening AND a community celebration? Count us in!
We had a wonderful time welcoming the new Kroger Marketplace to the City of Delaware, and the $20,000 donation will support our growing food pantry!
Kroger is committed to helping drive positive change in our community by focusing efforts on their Zero Hunger | Zero Waste social impact plan.

💖 📚 Moser's Farm Market and Barn worked 9-5 to collect over 300 books for us! Their Dolly Parton Day book drive was a smashing success. These tales will make their way to families during the Holiday Clearing House.

More than 300 children’s books were donated by our amazing Moser’s customers at last weekend’s Dolly Parton book drive.
