Our Chief! 💯💯💯

Chief Darrell K. Hunter was appointed Chief of the Delray Beach Police Department in 2025 after nearly two decades of dedicated service to the agency. Guided by his P.A.C.E. philosophy—Professional, Accountable, Consistent, and Engaged—he leads with integrity, vision, and a commitment to community partnerships.

Chief Hunter holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Waldorf University and a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, NOBLE’s CEO Program, and PERF’s Senior Management Institute for Police.

A dedicated leader within NOBLE, Chief Hunter proudly served as President of the South Florida Chapter and continues to support the organization’s mission as Immediate Past President.
