Today, members of the Denison Police Department and Denison Fire Rescue joined fellow first responders, elected officials, and community members at the Grayson County 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Together, we remembered the victims, recognized the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call, and reflected on the strength and resilience that continue to unite our nation.

Here’s to the years behind you and many more ahead!

Yesterday DFR-B Shift responded to a structure fire in the Perrin Estates Area. All our crews along with Pottsboro FD and North Texas Regional Airport worked together to bring the fire under control and remained on scene until the area was safe.

All residents in the home made it out safe with the help of the owner's dogs, who woke up the resident when flames arose. Due to the extent of the fire, the dogs were unable to make it out of the home and did not survive.

Thank you Pottsboro Fire Department and NTRA for assisting us!

DFR Ladder 4 looking clean!🫧

Getting closer and closer to coming home for good!🚒

Thank you, Denison HS Yellow Jackets and Denison ISD, for all the support and cheers during the Battle of the Ax First Responder pep rally this afternoon!

Now it’s our turn to cheer YOU on as you take on the Bearcats tonight! Let’s go, Jackets! 💛
