I had the honor of illustrating this book, and I’m excited to welcome Vickie to Loft Art to celebrate it with you!

We’re pulling color inspiration straight from the gallery; earthy greens, moody charcoals, warm vintage tones, and all the little unexpected pops that connect and inspire.

What a great surprise this morning to see that this has been reinstalled in front of the Visitors Center. This is a sculpture that Mark Niemi and I, Jodi Castelli, were commissioned to create as a way to symbolize Downtown Denison community rising from the ashes of the fire and moving forward. It was dedicated on August 2023 and funded by Denison Arts Council and Hander Family.
Mark and I work together under the name Casni, our two names and talents combined

"Flight" has been reinstalled at 319 W Main! This public art statue was created by local artists Jodi Castelli and Mark Niemi. It depicts a bird in flight, like a phoenix rising from the remains of the fire that destroyed several buildings at this location in 2019. The graceful metal sculpture uses material from the former buildings including iron beams with accent pieces and blue tile.

Look what this lovely group created at Thursday’s mosaic workshop! I love how each piece turned out so differently. ❤️

You’re welcome to bring food and w**e, or pick up a drink and a bite from one of the two wonderful restaurants here at the Katy Depot.
