For National Workforce Development Month, we're looking at how Colorado employers are building their own talent solutions, industry by industry. Today, construction.

Project SCALE is Colorado Succeeds' most mature employer collaborative, and 2026 has been its biggest year yet. Nearly 600 students were placed into entry level construction jobs this year through Careers in Construction Colorado, a program operating in more than 90 high schools statewide.

On the other end of the pathway, the SCALE High Potential Leadership Program at Emily Griffith Technical College is moving experienced craft professionals into frontline and project leadership roles, with the option to stack credit onto registered apprenticeships and build toward a construction associate degree.
