Policy by itself isn’t governance.
Sometimes, it’s just the conversation starter. The icebreaker. The way you discover the known unknowns.

Stanford’s written AI policy was clear enough to prohibit what happened. The failure was in operationalizing it through training, review, approval, and accountability.

Governance is interactive and iterative.

At PriorityTech.AI, I offer a 30-day Fractional CAIO Discovery Assessment which helps organizations uncover how AI is actually being used, where the gaps are, and what needs governance first.

How a swarm of 10,000 agents solved Navier-Stokes 09/18/2026

In this episode, podcaster Dwarkesh Patel sits down with Noam Brown, a leading researcher at OpenAI who has been foundational in developing reasoning models.

They dive deep into the world of multi-agent systems and the fascinating, rapid evolution of AI research. Rather than focusing on fear, the discussion offers a grounded, realistic look at the inherent uncertainties of this technology. It’s a must-watch for anyone looking to understand how these systems coordinate, learn to collaborate (0:51), and the thoughtful, methodical work being done to ensure they remain aligned with human goals as they become more powerful (47:37 - 49:10)

Most people don't need an AI agent. They need a current, secure browser, good account security, and a capable paid AI assistant they can use to research, write, learn, organize, and make better decisions.

An assistant helps you think. An agent acts in the world using your accounts, data, and permissions. That's useful in the right context, but it also widens your attack surface and compounds the damage when something breaks.

My early adopter recommendation: Learn to use AI well before you delegate authority to it. Start with human judgment in the loop. Add automation only where the task is narrow, the permissions are limited, the result is reversible, and the value clearly exceeds the oversight burden.

The OWASP LLM Top 10 has a few surprises for you 08/14/2026

This is becoming my go-to AI podcast for staying informed on the latest in Cybersecurity awareness.

Pro Tip: Unless you're *really* skilled in IT, avoid fully autonomous agents. Let the Übernerds geeks break and fix things first and it will be safe enough for you soon enough.

This image represents what PriorityTech.AI is really about: helping people approach powerful AI systems with clarity, confidence, and responsibility. For me, this work is professionally satisfying because it brings together so much of what I have always wanted to do: coach, teach, translate complexity, and help people grow. Since I was a kid, I have wanted to be the kind of teacher who could make difficult ideas feel useful, human, and empowering.

AI gives me a new way to do that. The work now is not simply teaching people how to use a tool; it is teaching them how to think with it, govern it, question it, and use it to improve their lives and organizations. In a very real sense, I get to teach people how to teach AI how to teach them—so they can superpower their own judgment, creativity, learning, and daily work while keeping human values at the center.

Free AI is fine for curiosity, experimentation, and getting familiar with the tools.

The moment you use it for business decisions, client work, strategy, operations, HR, finance, sales, marketing, or internal knowledge management, you will realize you need more than casual access.
You need a governance approach.

That means having clear answers to a short list of questions: Who in your organization is using AI? Which tools? What data is going in? Where are the outputs landing? Who reviews the decisions? Which workflows need to be repeatable? Where does human oversight belong?

Most organizations cannot answer those questions. That gap is exactly what I close at PriorityTech.AI

I work with executives, solopreneurs, and small teams to move from scattered AI usage to practical, governed adoption. They need clear systems, stronger workflows, and accountable humans in the loop. No fear tactics. No policy theater. No unnecessary complexity.

Free AI is for curiosity. Governed AI is for capability.

A recent useful development for enterprise leaders watching the local AI stack:

An open-source project shows that Claude Code can be connected to a locally hosted, Anthropic-compatible endpoint on Apple Silicon, allowing supported local models to handle coding workflows on-device instead of relying on a remote inference API.

The practical takeaway is not hype. It is optionality: lower variable API cost, greater control over sensitive data flows, and a clearer path for evaluating when local inference is operationally sufficient for specific developer use cases.

As always, this should be assessed as a workflow and governance question, not a viral breakthrough. Performance depends heavily on hardware, model choice, and implementation details.
