AFS Colorado Rockies

We are thrilled to welcome our Faces of America scholarship recipients back from their summer exchanges in Spain, Egypt and Kenya. Each of our students made unforgettable memories, became more independent and learned more about the world and themselves. This year our team sponsored 5 students from 3 Metro Denver schools, next year we are growing our program to 7 students, and we plan on continuing that growth into the future.

**Through the Faces of America scholarship program, the AFS Colorado Rockies team has the ability to identify and support students from underrepresented communities within Colorado to assist them in embarking on foreign exchange experiences with AFS-USA through financial and other necessary supports. If you are interested in helping our FoA students have the experience of a lifetime, please reach out to [email protected] to find out how to donate to our scholarship program.

8.22.2026 The Annual AFS Colorado Rockies Summer Picnic - hosted students, study abroad returnees, host families and volunteers - our picnic has them all! A great way to kick off the 2026/27 season - coming together over all things AFS!

08.22.2026 Arrival Orientation: the first opportunity for our 2026/27 hosted international students to get to know each other and meet some of the volunteers on our team. The annual AFS Colorado Rockies end-of-summer picnic is a great time to welcome our new international hosted students and meet (or reacquaint ourselves with) our host families! The whole team had a blast last weekend doing just that!

AFS CO Rockies 2026 Summer Volunteer Mixer - it was great to take some time to get to know each other better before the next cycle takes off.

Two more students and two more awesome welcome signs! Host families and AFS CO travel volunteers welcomed our last two 2026/27 international students from Italy and Kazakhstan to Colorado! Our inbound team is complete. We are so excited to show you all the special things in Colorado!
