Creature Feature returns to Access Gallery with strange characters, unexpected creatures and imaginative worlds created by Access Gallery artists. Meet the creatures and the artists who brought them to life!
From playful and funny to eerie and a little sinister, these paintings, drawings, sculptures and mixed-media works tell stories that extend far beyond the artwork itself.

Tiny art. Big personality. And only $5.
These little works of art are created by Access Gallery artists for the Art-o-Mat, a vintage cigarette vending machine transformed into a way to collect original art.
Pull the lever and see what you get. Each $5 artwork is original, pocket-sized and completely unique.
Access Gallery has been part of the Art-o-Mat network for more than 10 years, which also gives Access Gallery artists the opportunity to have their work featured in machines across the country.
Stop by the gallery and give it a try. The hardest part might be stopping at just one.

Creature Feature opens October 2.

Join us for First Friday from 6–9 PM and step into a world of strange characters, unexpected creatures and imagined worlds created by Access Gallery artists.

On view October 2–24, Creature Feature brings together paintings, drawings, digital work and mixed media that can be playful, eerie, funny and sometimes sinister.

And on the Community Art Wall, enter the world of repaints_doll, where hand-sewn creatures, drawings and paintings are connected through detailed storytelling. At the center is Jumper R. Bunny, a character repaints_doll developed from fellow Access Gallery artist Adrien Law’s original character, Bug Eye Bunzo.

Access Gallery artist Nicole Vanston’s dinosaur artwork is featured at Paleo Art Fest, and Access Gallery will be there all day sharing Nicole’s work.

Dozens of signs. More than 40 years of history. One new work of public art.
Access Gallery artists have transformed accessible parking signs spanning decades into Circles of Access, a large-scale installation exploring the past, present and future of accessibility and disability awareness.
Three concentric circles bring the signs together around ideas of connection, shared space and collective responsibility.
Circles of Access will be unveiled Wednesday, September 30 at noon at Concrete Coyote Community Park in Colorado Springs. See the finished work and the Access Gallery artists behind it!

Access Gallery artist Nicole Vanston’s dinosaur artwork will be featured at Paleo Art Fest on Sunday, September 27 at Dinosaur Ridge.

Access Gallery will also be there as a vendor, sharing Nicole’s work throughout the day.

Access Gallery Fundraiser / TONIGHT / 6PM-8:30PM

99 Pieces of Art is Access Gallery annual fundraiser that showcases 99+ unique artists and celebrates the diversity of Denver’s art community featuring artwork from local artists on a 10” x 10” board.

For my piece, “just skating by…” I started by hand-coloring the background and then screen printed the photo collage with a dark ink. After it dries I go back and embellish with colored pencils and ink to add more depth/details to the final image. From there a bit of touch up and a final signature. A nice way to spend part of my weekend all for a good cause.
