We are with our SHIFT Fellows today at the release of the 2026 Kid’s Count with the Colorado Children's Campaign at the The Colorado Health Foundation. The Kid’s Count continues to be a data source that helps our Fellows to connect, challenge, and change systems and structures that do not guarantee justice for all children. Stronger Together. Together We Thrive.

SHIFT Fellowship is a healing-centered systems change and community leadership fellowship that equips young leaders to move from identity formation to measurable systems change while preparing for success to get to and through college.

Through five phases—Know, Understand, Dream, Determine, Deliver—fellows:

• Develop deep self and community awareness
• Build belonging within beloved community
• Analyze systemic inequities
• Envision alternative futures
• Design strategic, measurable plans
• Implement solutions that shift policies, practices, and power

SHIFT’s differentiator is our arc: youth do not stop at critique. They build and deliver change.

SHIFT ensures that students not only thrive personally, but actively shape great schools and just systems together.
