Den leader idea of the month!
"Popcorn Pop" is fun for all ages! Many of us have a long weekend coming up and will be heading to the mountains. This one is perfect for such an occasion as you need a cleared area large enough for the group to move safely.
In this game, Cub Scouts and their families must work together to keep their “popcorn kernels” (balloons) in the air — symbolizing how the Pack lifts each other up! This activity encourages movement, teamwork, and fun.

Becoming an Eagle Scout is no easy task. It takes hard work, dedication, and even reliance on others. Eagle Scouts spend hours upon hours on their projects, and an even longer time building up to that point throughout their years in Scouts.
So what's all that worth? Sure, there's a TON of fun along the way and a certain comradery amongst those who achieve Eagle status. But what are some of the other proven advantages?
Scouting America has the answer to that question. To name a few:
-Well-Being & Outlook on Life
-Health & Activities
-Leadership & Civic engagement
-Character & Values

A message from the Scouting Colorado Special Needs Committee:
Do you have questions about navigating the Scouting experience with special needs? The Inclusion Toolbox is your definitive resource—essentially an encyclopedia for inclusive success. Whether you need to jump to a specific solution or prefer to read it cover to cover, this digital guide is designed to support every member of the Scouting community. What’s inside?
The toolbox provides essential background and actionable strategies for a variety of critical areas: Collaborative Roles: Understand how unit leaders, parents, and unit commissioners should work together to create a supportive environment. It clarifies how these roles intersect to ensure no Scout is left behind. Specific Disabilities: Support Scouts who face specific challenges such as Autism, ADHD, allergies, physical limitations, etc. More: Get guidance about methods that apply to many types of disabilities and other special needs topics, such as advancement and camp planning.
Resources and links are in the comments.

Troop 613 is celebrating an incredible achievement as Scouts earned distinguished Messengers of Peace recognitions, including the highest level of recognition in the program.
Through leadership, service, and community impact, these projects are helping create a better world and inspiring others to do the same.
The troop also recently joined Troop 1776 to post the colors during a Memorial Day remembrance ceremony in Georgetown, demonstrating the spirit of service that Scouting is all about.
