Learning with LINX: Why Network Closets Overheat
Your network is only as reliable as the room it's built in.
Network closets may be small, but they house the switches, patch panels, and cabling that keep an entire building connected. As more technology is added, these spaces generate significant heat. Without proper cooling, airflow, and infrastructure planning, rising temperatures can lead to equipment failures, reduced performance, and costly downtime.
That's why network infrastructure design goes beyond installing cable. Thoughtful rack layouts, organized cable management, adequate ventilation, and room for future growth all contribute to a more reliable, easier-to-maintain network.
A well-designed network closet supports the infrastructure your business depends on every day.

The best partnerships are built on consistency. Clear communication. Quality workmanship. Reliable closeouts.
At LINX, we focus on making every project easier for our clients, from installation through final turnover. That dependable, client-first approach is what helps support repeat builds, stronger relationships, and long-term success.

Learning with LINX: Commissioning Basics — How Systems Get Verified Before Go-Live
In a mission critical environment, "installed" doesn't mean "ready."
Before a data center goes live, every system must be commissioned to verify it performs exactly as designed. Fiber links are tested, cabling is validated, equipment is inspected, documentation is reviewed, and integrated systems are confirmed to work together under real-world conditions.
The purpose isn't simply to check a box. It's to identify and resolve issues before they can impact operations. A thorough commissioning process helps reduce startup delays, minimize unexpected troubleshooting, and provide confidence that critical infrastructure is ready to support the workloads it was built for.

93% of our employees believe we operate by strong values.
Values aren't just words on a wall. They're reflected in the choices we make, the way we treat one another, and the experience we create for our clients every day. The LINX Core Values and Gold Star Service Program help turn those principles into action, reinforcing a culture built on integrity, accountability, and care.

Speed starts with readiness. By equipping our trained teams with the right tools and proven processes, we can mobilize quickly, adapt to changing project needs, and keep work moving when timelines are tight. The result is faster installation, fewer surprises, and better outcomes from start to finish.

Learning with LINX: Why Doesn't My Phone Work in This Building?
Have you ever walked into a brand-new building and suddenly lost your cell signal?
It isn't your phone. It's the building.
Modern construction materials are designed to improve energy efficiency, safety, and structural performance, but they can also block wireless signals. Low-E glass reflects heat and radio frequencies, concrete absorbs signals, and steel creates barriers that make it harder for cellular service to reach inside.
That's why many offices, hospitals, schools, airports, and data centers rely on in-building wireless solutions. These systems bring cellular coverage indoors, helping people stay connected where it matters most.
As buildings become smarter and more efficient, reliable indoor connectivity has become an essential part of the design, not an afterthought.
