Join us for the opening of Lost Artisans, a solo exhibition by Rahmi aka RAHMI, presented by The Residency at FLORA.

Marking the culmination of his month-long artist residency, Lost Artisans invites visitors into THE BODY AS AN ARCHIVE OF REMEMBRANCE, an exhibition exploring memory, identity, and the stories carried within us. Through his multidisciplinary practice, RAHMI examines the body as both a vessel and a living archive, weaving together themes of ancestry, migration, resilience, and cultural preservation.

Celebrate the opening with an evening of art, music, and community from 6:00–9:00 PM at The Residency at FLORA Gallery. Enjoy drinks from the bar while DJ Stevie (Stevie Selby) sets the soundtrack for the evening.

The exhibition will remain on view August 7 through September 4, with gallery hours to be announced.

The evening also coincides with the RiNo Art District’s August First Friday Festival, just across the street at RiNo ArtPark. Before or after visiting the exhibition, explore one of Denver’s favorite monthly art events featuring galleries, local artists, makers, live music, food vendors, and community celebrations throughout the neighborhood. While you’re there, don’t miss a performance by fellow Residency artists, The Mañanas, as part of the festival programming.

The Residency at presents a vinyl listening night and swap hosted by , in partnership with and .

The Mañanas are taking over the turntables with a curated setlist of some of their favorite records, walking us through the vinyl that has inspired, influenced and stayed in rotation with the band. Come hang, listen and vibe to the lineup as they share the stories behind their top picks in conversation with Wax Trax Records’ Marketing Director Delaney Schoenfeldt.

Have a record you’re ready to part with? Bring a vinyl, find a friend and make a swap. No formal rules, no complicated setup. Just music lovers trading records and discovering something new.

The Mañanas merch will be available for purchase, plus we’ll have giveaways from Number Thirty Eight, Wax Trax Records, Blucifer’s First Rodeo and more throughout the evening.

Guests are invited to arrive early to enjoy themed cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages while exploring a selection of RAHMI’s previous works, offering a first look at the ideas that will shape his residency. Throughout the evening, there will be opportunities to meet the artist, connect with fellow guests, and experience the creative community that defines The Residency.

At 7:00 PM, join RAHMI and African Creators Festival founder for an artist talk exploring the stories, experiences, and creative process behind his work.
