The CRD216SS Heated Tubing Expander uses controlled heat to help expand stiffer, semi-rigid tubing like Teflon, nylon, and ethylene before fitting insertion. It can also operate without heat when the application doesn’t require it.

The CRD500 spreads tubing from three points and can open it up to 1½ inches wide. Need more room for a larger fitting? The CRD520 expands from four points and reaches up to 2 inches wide.
Same goal: make fitting insertion easier.

How big is your tubing? Start with the right measurement. đź“Ź
When comparing tubing expanders, ID and OD are not the same thing:
ID (Inside Diameter) = the width of the opening inside the tube
OD (Outside Diameter) = the total width measured across the outside of the tube
For our tubing expanders, the stated expansion ranges are based on inside diameter. The CRD200 handles most flexible tubing from .040" to 1/2" ID, while the heavy-duty CRD220 expands tubing from 1/4" to 3/4" ID.
