Congratulations to the 2026 Emerging Leader in Dance, Soda Shop Movement Company!

As part of The Dance Archive's Legends of Dance program, this recognition celebrates individuals who are not only redefining movement through their artistic voice but also shaping the future of dance through advocacy, education, and community impact. Honorees are granted $1,000 to continue their work transforming the Colorado dance community.

Emerging Leader in Dance nominations are open! Submit your nomination by May 4th!

Criteria for nominations includes but is not limited to:
☑️ Demonstrated leadership through dedication to and achievement in dance and movement in the state of Colorado
☑️ Developing and/or organizing an existing or emerging dance/movement organization, with a preference for work that demonstrates innovation, experimentation, and access
☑️ Exceptional service and commitment to dance/movement
☑️ Potential for future transformative impact on dance in the state of Colorado
☑️ Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion
☑️ Nominations welcome for individuals and organizations at all stages of life; this award does not have an age range or limit
