40% of Americans live or work in a moldy building.
And here's why I think this deserves more attention.
We often look at health through the lens of symptoms, labs, diet, exercise, and stress. But we also need to consider the environment our bodies are exposed to every day.
Mold grows where moisture is present, and damp or moldy environments can be associated with respiratory symptoms, allergies, and worsening asthma in susceptible people.
If you’re doing everything you can to support your health but still feel like something isn’t adding up, it may be worth looking beyond the obvious.
What is your environment asking your body to deal with?

Is a “perfect” diet really the whole answer to better heart health?
Diet absolutely matters. But focusing on food alone can oversimplify cardiovascular health and leave other important factors out of the conversation.
🎙️ In this episode of The Resiliency Method®: The Truth About Healing Podcast, Dr. Erika Schultz takes a closer look at why cardiovascular health deserves a bigger-picture approach.

Have you ever considered that your environment could be affecting your cellular energy?
Mold exposure is an important topic to understand, especially when looking at the bigger picture of health.
In this episode of The Resiliency Method® The Truth About Healing Podcast, Dr. Erika discusses how mold and mycotoxins, along with parasites, chemicals, and nutrient deficiencies, may affect the mitochondria the structures responsible for producing energy inside our cells.
Vitamin B1 is also an important part of this conversation, as it supports energy metabolism.
🙋♀️ Raise your hand if fatigue or low energy has ever made you wonder what’s happening beneath the surface.

MOLD IS MORE THAN WHAT YOU SEE.
Mold and mycotoxins can be environmental exposures worth understanding especially when looking at factors that may affect mitochondrial function.
And mold isn't the only consideration. Parasites, chemicals, metals, and nutrient deficiencies were also discussed in this podcast conversation.

Looking for another way to assess your metabolic health?
Dr. Erika Schultz sits down with Dr. Darren Schmidt, DC, founder of the Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor, to discuss the MVX Plus test.

Your symptoms are only one part of the health picture.
In this episode of The Resiliency Method®: The Truth About Healing Podcast, Dr. Erika Schultz speaks with Dr. Darren Schmidt, DC, founder of the Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor, about looking at health from a cellular perspective.
Dr. Schmidt discusses how cellular health can be measured and tracked over time, offering another way to gather information about how the body is functioning.
The goal is not simply to look at a symptom or a single lab result. It is about understanding the bigger picture and using information to help guide the next steps.

What questions would you ask if you could learn more about your cellular health?
One of the things I want people to understand about weight and health is that the scale doesn’t tell the entire story.
In this episode, I’m joined by Joe Virzi, RN and Account Executive for Orthomolecular Products, to talk about visceral fat and how you can look fine on the outside while still having fat around your organs.
We discuss the research behind a specific product and what human clinical trials have reported regarding body weight, body fat percentage, and visceral fat.
I think conversations like this are important because they help us look at health from a broader perspective, rather than focusing on one number alone.

Sometimes, finding a better approach starts with asking a better question.
In this episode, Dr. Erika is joined by Joe Virzi, Registered Nurse and Account Executive for Orthomolecular Products, for a conversation about a therapeutic compound that is known for being extremely bitter and why, in some clinical situations, a smaller starting amount may be used before progressing toward the clinical dose under the guidance of a licensed healthcare provider.
But the conversation raises a bigger question:
Are we asking the right questions about our health?
Instead of only asking, “What should I take?” consider asking:
“What does my body need, and what approach makes sense for me?”
Health is not one-size-fits-all. The questions we ask can help us better understand our bodies and have more informed conversations with qualified healthcare providers.

Keep asking better questions about your health.

Supporting your body can look different than simply giving it more.
Glutathione is often discussed as a detoxification supplement. But what if we also considered how to support the body’s own ability to produce it?
NAC can help support the body’s natural production of glutathione, which may provide a more sustainable approach to supporting glutathione levels over time.
This is an important part of the bigger conversation around personalized nutrition and supporting the body’s natural processes.

What if menopause isn't a decline, but a rebirth?
We hear so much about what women are supposed to expect during menopause.
The symptoms. The changes. The things we are told we are going to lose.
But what if we asked a different question?
What if menopause is not about becoming less of who you are, but an opportunity to reconnect with more of who you truly are?
There is nothing wrong with who you are.
Sometimes, healing means uncovering the person underneath years of stress, expectations, responsibilities, and everything you've been carrying.
Your body knows how to heal. Your mind knows how to heal. Your psyche knows how to heal. Your spirit knows how to heal.
Sometimes, we just need to get out of the way and listen.
