Kindness, made by hand💙

Several classes of second graders from Brown International Academy recently created 30 Kindness Kits for A Little Help older adults, and they went above and beyond.

Students made homemade bookmarks, crafted colorful birds and flowers from pipe cleaners and tissue paper, and wrote handwritten notes for each kit. Every little detail brought an extra dose of joy and connection to our older neighbors.

Small steps can make a big difference in preventing falls.

For Fall Prevention Awareness day, we’re sharing a few simple ways older adults can make their homes and daily routines safer, from improving lighting and removing clutter to wearing supportive shoes and staying active.

Taking time to identify potential risks can help older adults stay safe, confident, and independent at home.

Recognizing World Alzheimer’s Day.

Today we recognize all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, including the families, friends, and caregivers who walk alongside them.

Today, we honor their experiences and the importance of compassion and connection at every stage of aging.

Helping shape the future of older adult services.

Our Executive Director, Hilary Simmons, recently joined leaders from across Colorado’s senior living community for Metropolitan State University of Denver's Senior Living Partnership Roundtable.

The conversation brought together expertise from across the field to explore how higher education and industry can better prepare the next generation of professionals serving older adults. Hilary was proud to bring A Little Help’s perspective on aging, community connection, and the importance of building systems that keep people at the center.
