Intimate Flavors

China Black Pipe
For context, my company installs New Yorker steam boilers whenever it’s a smaller sized boiler. There’s this close piping kit that New Yorker sells, that our supply house carries and it’s really nice. It has everything you need for models CG-30 to CG-60, but a big thing we noticed was that main header ni**le almost acts like it’s going into the fitting cross threaded (see circle in picture). We can’t tell if that’s how it was designed, since you need pitch towards the equalizer? It ended up working great for us with the pitch in mind, we had perfect pitch. But it seems so fu**ed up that it can’t be right? We noticed the close piping kit had all China fittings, when we normally get domestic ones. Just wondering if maybe that could be the reason it looked like it was cross threading but wasn’t? Nothing leaked at all. Real head scratcher, but I’m starting to think these pipes are designed to have pitch since it worked out great for us. You just have to make sure you tighten it the right amount, or else pitch will be the wrong way.

Spent all day chasing a blockage on a vrf and figured this valve was stuck

Sman problems with micron gauge
Does anyone have the problem with these where it stops reading microns and when it does it just bounces around never going below even 1000. Any fixes?

Ok, so pop quiz, 1 side blowing properly and sufficiently, the other feels like a gaggle of dwarves breathing on you
What do you guys think? Which side is blowing less and which is blowing more and why.

Mind you damper open and OBD open.

Does this mean something I’m not aware of? ✨

Why do Mitsubishi head units have an emoji on them?

What is this?
Is the idea to equalize the pressure difference? Did not open it up, was not the unit I was working on.

Dryer soffit cover fell off
What should I be doing with this? It was held on by tape from the previous owner. We leave on a trip in a few days and not sure if I’ll have enough time to do a big fix. Can I just tape it back into place for now?

Lifting AC pad - professional or DIY
This is an old ac - based on s/n it says 2004.

It runs well however I am looking at lifting the ac pad. Would it be feasible to life 3 inches maybe? Doing this in order to properly grade the side of the house.

Saw some videos, seems doable but worried about the lines.

Hopefully if replacing may also replace the 40 year furnace next year. Not in budget right now.
