Why will companies still hire software agencies?

My answer:

Because building software has never been the hardest part.

Defining the right problem.
Making smart tradeoffs.
Integrating with legacy systems.
Managing risk.
Scaling something people actually use.

AI changed how we build.
It didn’t eliminate the need for experienced partners.

AI shouldn't replace the best parts of work. It should remove the parts that keep people from doing their best work.

Before adding agentic AI, ask: Is the process clear? Where does work get stuck? What decisions happen repeatedly?

Then let AI take over the repetitive pieces. Agentic AI works best when it's built on thoughtful systems, not chaos. Technology scales whatever already exists. Make sure it's worth scaling.
