The Denver Foundation

In 2025, we granted $169 million to the community. This was a record-breaking year, thanks in large part to our donor-advised and scholarship fundholders.

This also included $6.3 million in grants through The Fund for Denver, the endowment our community has grown since our founding in 1925.

We're excited to hear members of the City Council are proposing to rename Aurora's central library the Edna Wilson Mosley Central Library. https://engageaurora.org/renaming

Edna Wilson Mosley was an equity advocate, community builder, and Aurora’s first Black council member. She championed causes including veteran affairs, affordable housing, civil rights, education, and more.

In 2003, Edna and her husband, John W., opened a scholarship fund at The Denver Foundation, which to date has supported 40 students, totaling $80,000 in scholarships.

Our community will feel the impact of her generosity and leadership for generations.

We have sent $75,000 in grants to 7 organizations supporting wildfire response and recovery efforts in Colorado. Big news to share today! The Reisher Scholars Program, here at The Denver Foundation, is marking 25 years of changing lives by giving $25 million more to colleges and universities
across Colorado.

This is the largest single investment in the program's history, and it means more Colorado
students, from Denver to the Western Slope, will have the support they need to pursue a
college degree.

For 25 years, the Reisher Scholars Program has helped students across our state access
higher education. Today's announcement builds on that legacy and sets the stage for even
more impact in the years ahead.
