A big congratulations to Roberta Molock, recipient of Metro Caring’s 2026 Catalyst for Change Award!🎉

The Catalyst for Change Award recognizes someone whose courage and leadership inspire others to join our movement to end hunger at its root, and Ms. Roberta shows us what that leadership can look like!

As a certified peer educator with Diabetes Among Friends, Ms. Roberta has turned her own experience into support for others by making health information approachable and creating spaces where people feel welcome.

When participants wanted that support to continue beyond the program, she helped create a monthly Diabetes Support Group.

Her leadership has also reached the State Capitol, where she has advocated for greater access to diabetes prevention and education.

Congratulations, Ms. Roberta!💚May her example inspire more of us to see where our own experiences, voices, and leadership can create change.

With more than 200 volunteer hours in the past year alone, Pam shows up for our community in so many ways, from our Fresh Foods Market and warehouse to the State Capitol, our advisory groups, and beyond.

The Passion for Change Award recognizes a volunteer dedicated to working alongside our community to advance our mission, and Pam lives that commitment.

She gives her time and expertise generously, inspires others, and is always finding ways to connect more people to the work.

Congratulations, Pam! May her example remind us just how many ways there are to use what we have—our time, voice, skills, and passion—to make a difference.

And right now, Metro Caring is seeing an 18% increase in appointment requests for our Fresh Foods Market, where we welcome around 600 visitors each week.
