Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of Ally Eden, a beloved member of our language justice community.
Ally was a fierce advocate for community members’ right to communicate in their heart languages and a truly exceptional interpreter.
Her commitment went far beyond language access. Ally lived up to her name. She was truly an ally. She was intentional about opening doors, creating space, and making sure communities of color were seen, heard, and valued.
Our community is better because Ally was part of it, and we are forever indebted to the love, wisdom, joy, and advocacy she shared so generously.
As we grieve her passing, may we carry Ally’s spirit with us. May we hold her joy, her wisdom, and her fierce commitment to justice in our hearts as we continue this work in service of our communities.
Rest in power, Ally. You will be deeply missed.
