Hope for the Future 2026 Thank You!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for Hope for the Future 2026 and helped make the evening such a meaningful celebration of Hope Communities and the people we serve.

Together, we brought in more than $178,000 to support the programs and services that help individuals and families across our community build greater stability, access opportunity, and work toward a stronger future.

The evening was a wonderful reminder that we do not do this work alone. Our generous sponsors, auction donors, volunteers, staff, partners, and guests each played an important role in making Hope for the Future possible!

Your support allows Hope to continue responding to real challenges facing families while creating opportunities for people not just to get through difficult circumstances, but to thrive.

Thank you for believing in this work, for showing up for our community, and for helping us continue to create:

HOME. OPPORTUNITY. COMMUNITY.

Hope Communities is uniquely committed to developing customized approaches that help residents and clients gain the skills, programs, basic needs, and services they need to succeed.

Our programs are intentionally designed around the lived experiences and evolving needs of the communities we serve. Through ongoing listening, relationship-building, and community feedback, we tailor our services to address real barriers and create meaningful pathways to stability, connection, and opportunity.

This week, Hope hosted an exciting event that brought several important opportunities and resources together in one place for residents and community members, while at the same time showcasing our apartments and programs for community partners.

This special event, hosted at The Gardens of Hope Communities, boasted an Employment & Housing Fair, a vaccine clinic, and an incredible fresh food market, where families were able to access important healthcare services, take home delicious food, connect with a resource navigator to learn more about housing resources, and get tailored assistance with employment opportunities in our community.

Days like this showcase Hope’s unique and holistic approach that is so effective.

We are grateful to the many partners who helped make these resources available and continue to strengthen the support we can provide. We were pleased to have 17 employers present to highlight various types of employment and begin an application process for many.

We are also appreciative that 14 key contacts supporting housing stability joined us for an information session and tour of the affordable 2-bd townhouses at the Gardens of Hope Communities. They learned more about other unit types at Hope properties and met staff members who would gladly work with agencies to help support housing placement.

The Hope team also heard about housing programs from the community, so that together, we can realize greater success in finding the most appropriate housing for the families we serve. With the vaccine clinic from CDPHE and the robust food distribution, featuring a great amount of fresh produce and staples purchased by Hope and other food leverage through tremendous community partnerships, the day was very successful.

All of the programs and services offered by Hope, and the purchase of goods and services- such as the thousands each month spent on purchasing fresh food staples- are fully supported by fundraising dollars. That is why events, such as Hope for the Future, are so important.

One fun option would be to join us on September 23 at Hope for the Future as we come together to raise the funds to support the families we serve. In the last 12 months, we served almost 8,000 individuals, and we know the need for assistance is growing every day. We need you!

Our CEO, Sharon Knight, was awarded the Girl Scouts Women of Distinction Award on September 10th. Girl Scouts of Colorado selects 10 outstanding leaders for their professional and personal contributions to the community each year. They select women they consider to be shining examples of corporate, civic, and philanthropic leaders who serve as inspirations for female leaders of the future.

Bringing Opportunity Closer to Home
Transportation, technology, language barriers, unfamiliar systems, and simply not knowing where to begin can all stand between someone and the support they need. That’s why Hope Communities brings resources directly into the communities we serve, connecting people with practical support where relationships and trust already exist.

On Wednesday, September 16, Hope will host its 2nd Annual Employment & Housing Fair.

From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, residents and community members can connect directly with employers and explore employment opportunities, learn about housing options, and learn about the many types of program support and resources Hope Communities can provide.

The event will be rounded out with one of our Food Distributions from 12:00 to 1:00 pm and a vaccine clinic, sponsored by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Participation in all the elements of this special day is open to all and free of charge.

Know someone who could benefit from these resources? Please pass this information along. Whether someone is looking for employment support, navigating housing challenges, accessing food, or seeking health resources, we want our community to know that these services are available. Our programs and services are open to residents and non-residents alike.

This quarter, we’re highlighting a few incredible staff members whose experience, commitment, and years of service at Hope Communities make our work possible.

Martina Torres– A Woman of Many Titles: Martina has been part of Hope since July 2019 and has taken on many roles along the way. Today, as Manager of Family Support Services & Youth Programs, she brings her experience across Hope’s programs together to support our residents, families, and youth.

Raymundo Ceniceros – 25 Years of Experience at Hope: Ray has been part of Hope Communities since September 2000 and brings extensive HVAC and mechanical expertise to his work as Maintenance Lead at Hidden Brook. After more than 25 years at Hope, his knowledge of our properties and the communities that call them home is hard to match.

Stephanie Urban – Keeping Hope on Track: Stephanie joined Hope on September 11, 2009, and serves as our Controller. She is more comfortable being viewed as a key member of the team rather than being singled out. Working largely behind the scenes, her financial knowledge and careful oversight help keep Hope running and support the programs, properties, and people at the center of our mission.
