Amtrak’s first dual-mode Airo train departing Denver! 🚉

The train was on its way to Pueblo for testing and is expected to enter service in 2027 on the Northeast Corridor. These new trains can use overhead electric wires where available and switch seamlessly to low-emission onboard power where they are not. 🚆

The Denver area already has electrified rail infrastructure. Could this technology help support future Colorado Connector rail service too? ⛰️

Amtrak’s dual-mode Airo train visited Denver! 🚉

These next-generation trains can run on overhead electric wires where available and switch seamlessly to low-emission onboard generators where they aren’t. 🚆

That flexibility allows new passenger rail services to operate across different types of rail infrastructure today, while remaining compatible with potential future investments and technologies. 🎯

Would you like to see these on the Front Range? ⛰️

Could taking the train get you your time back? Rachel from Brighton sees the as a tool to help her meet with clients across the Front Range without losing hours to I-25 traffic. ⏱️

With clients in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo, Rachel is excited about turning travel time into productive time—answering emails, preparing for meetings, or simply recharging instead of sitting in rush hour. 🛤️

New intercity passenger trains are now arriving across the U.S. 🇺🇸

Over the weekend, Washington welcomed their first new Amtrak Airo to Seattle’s King Street Station. These sleek new trains begin service on Amtrak Cascades this fall and will also run on the Northeast Corridor before long. 🚉

Modern intercity trains are transforming travel in regions very similar to Colorado’s Front Range. Why not here too? ⛰️
