TechNation

Please join us in welcoming Tom Leffler to the TechNation Careers Board of Directors as our new Treasurer!

Tom brings more than 20 years of senior finance leadership experience across technology, media, distribution, and telecommunications. He currently serves as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at STARZ Entertainment and has previously held leadership roles at Comcast, Arrow Electronics, and Dell Technologies.

Tom was drawn to TechNation’s mission because he believes access to good work changes lives — for individuals, families, and communities. His financial expertise, strategic leadership, and commitment to opportunity will be an incredible asset as TechNation continues connecting talented New Americans with meaningful careers in Colorado’s technology sector.

Welcome to the board, Tom! We are grateful to have your leadership and support.

We’re thrilled to share exciting news from the TechNation community! 🎉
Ilham Hbaci, Ph.D., one of our featured speakers at the April Gala, has accepted a new role at Fastly as a Mission Control Engineer!

During her Gala speech, Ilham shared that she was actively interviewing and hoping to break into the technology industry. Today, we’re honored to celebrate that she officially landed the role.

Ilham’s journey is a powerful reminder of the resilience, talent, and determination that New Americans bring to Colorado’s tech industry every day. We know this opportunity is just the beginning of a long and successful career in tech.

Congratulations, Ilham! We’re so proud to celebrate this milestone with you. 👏

A huge thank you to Abby, our Denver Public Schools intern, for spending the last 10 weeks helping TechNation Careers strengthen our social media presence!

Abby brought fresh ideas, valuable insights into our social channels, and incredible creativity to our content efforts. We were especially proud to see her deliver an amazing final presentation to her family and our staff highlighting all of her hard work and accomplishments.

We are so grateful for this partnership with Denver Public Schools and for talented students like Abby who help move our mission forward. Thank you, Abby — we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in the future!

TechNation Careers’ Gala, “A Story Still Being Written,” was an incredible success!

Thank you to our community of supporters, sponsors, and advocates who made the night so meaningful.

Because of you, we raised $93,803—funds that will support New Americans as they rebuild their careers, pursue opportunities in technology, and move closer to achieving the American Dream.

This impact goes far beyond one evening—it helps us continue opening doors, building careers, and strengthening our community.

Thank you for being part of the story.
