Shimmering Wings provides multi-dimensional grief support programs for people at all life stages.
The keystone program of Shimmering Wings is specially designed for children aged 6-12, and their parent/guardian. This structured 8-week program takes the form of a facilitated grief support group. Each week’s gathering builds on the prior session, and follows a path that spans from exploring feelings around grief to identifying individual and family strengths. Josh, the drummer, helps our campers wrap up Camp Erin Denver 2026. It was a great weekend and the pervasive comment in the camper evaluations was camp is too short. Much gratitude to our very dedicated volunteers, to our campers and to the caregivers who entrusted their children to us for a very remarkable camp.
Camp Erin Denver 2027 will be held July 23-25. Camper applications will be available online in late January.

Camp Erin and Next PAGE happen in large part thanks to our community supporters. During June we were honored to be the Share the Plate recipient of First Plymouth Congregational Church. We had the opportunity each Sunday to share a bit about why we do what we do. Two of our camp volunteers, Jeremy Hubbard and Michael Gold spoke so eloquently about their experience at camp and what brings them back every year. Thank you First Plymouth UCC 💗

Wrapped up the first volunteer training for Camp Erin Denver 2026 today. Super excited by these enthusiastic, energetic, passionate and compassionate volunteers who will be welcoming our campers in just a few weeks.

This past weekend, we hosted Next PAGE, our overnight camp for adult caregivers of grieving children. We have so much gratitude for the women who attended, who shared their stories with vulnerability and who cared for each other with deep compassion.
