How much are you REALLY spending on subscriptions every month?
Tonight on The Pursuit of Progress, Adam and Ben are digging into the subscription trap— those $10, $20 and $30 automatic charges that don't feel like much individually but can quietly add up to thousands of dollars a year.
Streaming services. Apps. Software. Cloud storage. Gym memberships. Food delivery. Premium upgrades. Free trials you forgot to cancel.
We're talking about how subscription creep happens, why monthly pricing makes things feel cheaper than they really are, and some simple ways to take back control without giving up everything you enjoy.
We'll also share a quick challenge you can do after the episode that might uncover hundreds — or even thousands — of dollars in expenses you've stopped paying attention to.

Check which direction the driveway faces. 🏡☀️
If you have a south-facing driveway, all that Colorado sunshine can help melt snow and ice faster during the winter.

Would I tell someone to buy a house JUST because the driveway faces south?
Of course not. 😂
But when you're comparing two homes you really like, little details like this can make a noticeable difference in everyday life.
These are the kinds of things you learn after living through a few Colorado winters.

If I were moving to Denver in 2027, these are THREE areas I’d be looking at very closely: Wheat Ridge, Tennyson/Berkeley, and Applewood.
But these three Denver neighborhoods offer completely different lifestyles — and the best choice really depends on what you want your life in Colorado to look like.

🏙️ 𝗥𝗶𝗡𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲?
RiNo has become one of Denver’s most recognizable neighborhoods.

But when I talk with buyers—especially people relocating to Denver—I also get some very different questions:
What about homelessness?
Does RiNo feel safe?
What’s it actually like living there every day?
Those are exactly the questions I address in my latest Living in Denver video.
RiNo has experienced incredible growth and investment, but it’s also navigating some of the challenges that come with rapid urban expansion.
If you're considering living OR investing here, I think it's important to understand both sides.
No sugarcoating. No fearmongering. Just local insight to help you make an informed decision.

The 𝘍𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘓𝘰𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘴 𝘝𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘴 author lived for decades near 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻, where he became one of Colorado's most recognizable and unconventional residents.
And here's where the story gets even more interesting…
In 1970, Thompson actually 𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 as part of his famous “Freak Power” campaign.
He didn't win—but the campaign became part of both Thompson's legend and Colorado history.
Aspen has been home to plenty of interesting people over the years, but Hunter S. Thompson might be one of the most colorful.

If you're buying a home, you'll probably hear the term Loan-to-Value Ratio (LTV).
Here's the simple version:
𝗟𝗧𝗩 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵.
𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲:
🏠 Home value = $500,000
💰 Mortgage = $400,000
📊 LTV = 80%
That means you're financing 80% of the home's value.
Why does this matter?

**You got a raise… so why don’t you feel any richer?**
Tonight on *The Pursuit of Progress*, Adam and Ben are talking about **lifestyle inflation** — one of the easiest financial traps to fall into as your income grows.
A nicer car. A bigger house. More expensive vacations. More dinners out. Individually, none of these things may seem like a big deal. But when your lifestyle grows just as fast as your paycheck, you can make significantly more money without actually building more wealth.
We’ll break down why this happens, the monthly expenses that can quietly trap you, and a simple strategy for making sure every future raise improves both your life AND your financial future.
Join us LIVE and jump into the conversation:
When your income goes up, what’s the first thing you think you should do with the extra money?

🥾 Want a Colorado hike with BIG scenery that doesn’t require an all-day adventure?
𝗣𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁. 🏔️
This has been one of my favorite easy Colorado hikes for years because you get a lot of payoff without a long or difficult trail.

It’s also a perfect example of what makes living in Colorado so special.
Sometimes an incredible mountain adventure doesn’t require hiking 10 miles or climbing a 14er.
Whether you’re visiting Colorado or thinking about moving here, this is one spot worth knowing about.
