Today we celebrate America’s 🇺🇸 250th anniversary.

A day that we remember our freedom and honor all those who fought for it and continue to do so.

I was reminded by a friend and mentor Jerremy Alexander Newsome reading his post last night that so many of us don’t live in freedom even in a free country.

We are weighed down in jobs, debt, relationships, health… you name it!

This morning in my quiet time, I was also reminded that our true freedom is not in a country or a circumstance, rather it is in Christ Jesus.

He is the one who paid the price for all our mistakes.

We can stop striving for the next big thing, or worrying about how to keep up with what we see on social media… if we can just rest in Him.

He doesn’t want the to do list ✅
He doesn’t want the resume 🗒️
He doesn’t want you stressed out attempting to keep up… 🔝

He wants your heart ♥️

There is a level of peace that I cannot fully describe when I give myself wholeheartedly to the Lord. So no matter the circumstances or challenges I’m facing, I can rest in knowing Jesus has my back.

When I do this it’s amazing to see how things fall into place, I slow down and I gain clarity on next steps.

I love this country even with all its flaws because it is one nation under God and I know that my true freedom is in Jesus first and foremost.

May you accept Him into your heart and declare your freedom ✝️ 🇺🇸
