DAZBOG is not trying to win the argument over whether coffee should be “light,” “medium,” or “dark.” We are trying to make the best cup.

That means developing each coffee far enough to bring forward natural sweetness, body and richness while preserving the character of the coffee and its origin.

Let’s be clear, we are not opposed to lighter-roasted coffee; the coffee should simply be roasted to the level that makes it taste complete.

Organic certification matters. But it doesn't roast the coffee for you.

Certification tells consumers something specific about how the product was produced and certified.

It does not replace:
- Good green coffee.
- Good sourcing.
- Good roasting.
- Good quality control.

Organic coffee still has to be great coffee. We recommend Organic Sumatra.

Single origin isn't the opposite of quality blending. Single origin when you want to explore a place.
Blend when you want the roaster to build a particular cup.

A great blend requires sourcing knowledge and roasting experience.

Three criteria:
★ BODY - It has to survive ice and dilution.
★ SWEETNESS - Cold coffee should still taste satisfying without being buried in syrup.
★ CHARACTER - You should still be able to taste the coffee.
