Money has always had a knack for bringing out the wildest, most scandalous behavior in humanity.

THE MISSISSIPPI BUBBLE SCANDAL perfectly highlights this:

The Scandal: A Scottish economist named John Law convinced France to let him open a bank that issued paper money, backed by the supposedly limitless wealth of the French territory of Louisiana.

The Twist: Law hyped up the colony's riches so intensely that people practically rioted to buy shares. The stock price skyrocketed by 1,900%. When investors realized Louisiana was mostly just swamps (during that period of time) and tried to cash out for gold, the French economy completely collapsed, leaving thousands holding worthless paper.

Connecting, Learning, and Growing Together at Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. Ignite 2026!

From September 16–18, several members of our Financial Integrators Team and Advisors from across our network gathered in Orlando, Florida, for Cambridge Ignite 2026 at the Ga***rd Palms Resort. Dominique L'Heureux

Stepping away from our busy schedules allowed us to dive into valuable sessions focused on market trends, practice management, and strategies to better serve our clients. Beyond the educational sessions, we spent quality time networking with industry peers and gathered for a memorable team dinner at MOOR inside the resort to celebrate our shared goals.

We returned inspired, refreshed, and ready to bring these new insights directly into our practice.

FRIDAY FUN FINANCIAL FACT: September is Intergeneration Month

DID YOU KNOW? When an heir inherits an investment (such as stocks, bonds, or real estate), the "cost" is reset to its current market value, potentially wiping out decades of capital gains taxes. Financial firms use this powerful IRS rule to shield families from massive capital gains taxes, preserving more hard-earned growth for the next generation.

If you live to 95, will your money?

If you're too aggressive, will you come up short? Too conservative, and you leave quality of life on the table.

Also, will the life you are living at 70 change as you age? Have you considered how changing withdrawal rates can affect everything from estate management strategies to retirement strategies?

Disclosure: The portfolio is composed of 50 percent stocks, 40 percent bonds, and 10 percent Treasury bills. It is assumed that a person withdraws a hypothetical percentage each year. Historical returns based on the period January 1, 2001, to December 31, 2025. Stocks are represented by the Standard & Poor's 500, which is an unmanaged group of securities & considered to be representative of the US stock market. Bonds are represented by the five-year U.S. government bond and Treasury bills by the 30-day U.S. Treasury bill. An investment cannot be made directly in an index. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

The Power of Integration: At Financial Integrators, we simplify the complexities of wealth management, providing personalized strategies and proactive oversight to give you confidence in your financial future. With a commitment to clear communication and risk mitigation, we empower you to focus on what matters most while we expertly manage your wealth.

1. Financial Planning vs. Asset Management:
Financial Planning is the blueprint. It looks at the big picture: “When can I retire? How much do I need to save for my kid's college? What is my cash flow baseline?” Asset Management is the tool that executes the blueprint. It manages the specific stocks, bonds, and funds in your portfolio to ensure your money works hard enough to meet the goals set in your financial plan.

2. Insurance Services vs. Estate Planning:
Insurance Services protect your wealth while you are living. It handles risk management—making sure disability, long-term care, or an unexpected tragedy doesn't derail your family's daily survival. Estate Planning protects your wealth after you pass away. It focuses on proactive, tailored wealth transfer so your savings go to your loved ones and chosen charities seamlessly, rather than getting caught up in legal red tape.

3. Accounting & Tax vs. Business Services:
Accounting & Tax looks closely at every line item to legally minimize what you owe. It turns tax preparation into an active, year-round strategy instead of a frantic annual scramble in April. Business Services expands that financial acumen to your corporate entities. For business owners, this means structuring traditional or Roth 401(k)s, managing concentrated stock options, and setting up buy/sell agreements so the business protects the owner.
