Noce is an all-ages jazz & cabaret club opened in Des Moines in late 2015. Owned by arts supporter Maria Reveiz along with vocalist/producer Max Wellman, this beautiful club plays host to some of the best jazz music the United States has to offer while also serving as a home for Des Moines' thriving jazz scene. Under Wellman's direction, Noce offers live entertainment Tuesday through Saturday evenings (at least), highlighted by a Tuesday night residency featuring the Des Moines Big Band. The club is honored to be housed in a fully renovated building designed by architect Evan Shaw (KnowlesBlunck Architecture). Additionally, Noce is proud to offer a private event space, Backstage, available for events ranging from small get-togethers to large-scale weddings & corporate parties. That core belief is what drives Iowa Jazz Composers Orchestra (IJCO). Formerly known as COLOSSUS Central, award-winning composer and UNI Director of Jazz Studies Mike Conrad resurrected this ensemble with a mission to showcase the absolute best jazz writers and performers the state of Iowa has to offer.
On Saturday, October 24th, The Iowa Jazz Composers Orchestra take the Noce stage to celebrate the release of their brand-new album, 'Our Harvest'. 🌾 Join the album release party & help celebrate Iowa's finest jazz composers in a room dedicated to Iowan musicians.
