Basepoint Building Automations Expands Door Solutions Presence Through Acquisition of O&L Door Systems

DES MOINES, Iowa – [July 22, 2026]

Basepoint Building Automations (Basepoint), a 100% Employee-Owned leader in building technology solutions, today announced the acquisition of O&L Door Systems, a respected provider of commercial door solutions serving the greater Minneapolis area.

The acquisition represents another strategic step in Basepoint’s long-term growth plan, strengthening the company’s geographic footprint while expanding its ability to serve customers with industry-leading door solutions. O&L Door Systems’ expertise and reputation align closely with Basepoint’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences through trusted partnerships, technical expertise, and responsive service.

The transition process is already underway, with both organizations working together to ensure business continuity for customers, employees, and vendor partners. O&L Door Systems will continue operating under its existing name during the initial integration period before transitioning to the Basepoint Building Automations brand.

We spent three incredible days at Horton Automatics 65th Anniversary National Distributor Meeting and Boots & Bling Awards! Throughout this event, the energy was contagious. We valued the time spent alongside fellow distributors and the opportunity to learn and celebrate in such good company.

Safety first! We sat down for First Aid training this week, where Tara Wakefield of Kansas City First Aid briefed us on everything from CPR to how to tie a tourniquet. Being in the construction industry, we do our best to stay informed and equipped in the face of elevated risk. If and when accidents do happen, our people are prepared. 💪

Today kicked off our Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building: WorkStation & System Design training at our Des Moines Headquarters. This four-day hands-on training led by Mike Downes, Schneider Electric empowers engineers and service personnel to optimize control and automation of HVAC systems in buildings.

While providing best-in-class training to our own staff, this class also includes employees from some of our industry partners, reinforcing our commitment to intentionally collaborate with industry professionals through training and development.
