No matter which team you’re backing, we want you at the Des Moines Scottish Rite this Saturday, September 12, for our Cy-Hawk Tailgate Party!

Tailgating starts at 3:00 p.m., giving everyone plenty of time to argue about who has the better team, question each other’s judgment, and enjoy some good food and fellowship before kickoff.

The Scottish Rite will provide burgers, brats, pulled pork sandwiches, and your favorite beverages. Bring your canopy, lawn chairs, favorite tailgate snacks, and plenty of team spirit.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and we’ll have three separate big screens set up so you won’t miss a minute of the action.

Wear your colors. Bring your family and friends. Talk a little trash. Defend your team.

Then, when the game is over, we’ll all still be Brothers...although one side may be considerably quieter than the other.

Whether you yell Go Hawks! or Go State!, there’s only one wrong choice this Saturday...staying home.
We’ll see you at the tailgate!

9/2 Quarterly Meeting/Feast of Tishri with 48 brothers in attendance reflecting on the many blessings we share, and giving thanks to the Brothers, volunteers, officers and supporters whose efforts keep the Des Moines Valley moving forward. Next up join us on September 10th for the Golf Outing and on September 12th we have the Iowa Vs ISU Tailgate, see you soon!

Join us this Wednesday, September 2, for our Des Moines Scottish Rite Quarterly Meeting. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Classroom. During the evening, we will elect the officers of the Consistory and the Council of Kadosh. Every member of the Des Moines Valley is encouraged to attend, cast his vote, and take an active role in shaping the future of our Valley.

Governor Reynolds stopped by the Iowa Masonic Charities booth today at the Iowa State Fair! The booth is being manned by Master of Kadosh Brian Nelson and 2nd Lieutenant Commander of the Council of Kadosh Shawn Mullihan.
