🍂 Fall Hits Different at the Beach 🌊

Fall on the Emerald Coast just hits a little different. 🤍

The calendar says fall, but that can still mean bare feet in the sand, turquoise water, Gulf sunsets and afternoons that feel a whole lot like summer.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite times of year. The summer crowds start to slow down, the evenings cool off a little, dinner reservations get easier and the beach is just so good.

I don’t need changing leaves. Give me white sand, emerald water and a few pumpkins and I’m perfectly happy with our version of fall. 🎃🌊

⭐ Wednesday — Guest Review

This is pretty much what we hope a 30A vacation looks like. 🌊☀️

Beach days at Deer Lake State Park.

Golf cart rides with the family.

Pool time after the beach.

Bike rides through the neighborhood at night.

Dinner, live music and family movie nights at The Big Chill.

And somewhere in between all of that… hopefully not having to think very much about your vacation rental. 😂

Shannon and her family stayed at BeachLife 30A, our home in Prominence, and I loved reading her review because she described exactly the kind of trip we want our guests to have.

She loved the home, the location, the golf cart, bikes, pool and everything nearby. She even said BeachLife 30A “felt like a home,” which might be one of my favorite compliments a vacation rental can get. 🤍

But this part meant the most to me:

“They were a quick call or text and answered quickly. Just a pleasure to talk with.”

That’s a big deal to me.

You shouldn’t spend your vacation wondering who to call when you have a question—or waiting hours for someone to get back to you.

Kristen’s Coastal Picks 🌊

The Bay has been one of my favorites for years, and I’ve even spent several birthday dinners here, so this one already comes with some really good memories for me. 🤍

I met a friend for lunch and had the edamame, blackened shrimp, pecan garlic shallot rice and green beans, and everything was so good. Add in those beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay views and it’s just one of those places that always feels like a good choice.

To make it even better, I walked in and saw a friend working the hostess stand who I’ve known since middle school!! I love those little full-circle moments, especially at places that already feel special 💙

If you’re visiting the area and looking for a waterfront spot the whole family can enjoy, The Bay is definitely one I’d put on your list.

🌊 Behind the Coastline….So Much for the Weekend Off 🙃

Remember when Kristen said she was going to attempt taking the weekend off? Well, this was her on the ride home. Laptop open, management software up, back at it. 😂

Vacation rentals are 24/7, so having a team you can count on means everything. Our amazing housekeeping team, Off the Coast Cleaning, and our Director of Operations stepped in and handled the weekend like bosses! 💪🏼

We may all have different roles, but at the end of the day, we’re one team and we get it done! 🙌🏼

Blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing team. 🤍

🌊 Behind the Coastline — On the Road

Plot twist: no property inspections for us this weekend. 😂

Eric and I slipped away for a little weekend trip, while the Coastline team is back home keeping everything moving.

Guests are still being taken care of.
Messages are still being answered.
Properties are still being looked after.

And that’s actually a pretty important part of what we’re building.

When you own a small business, it’s really easy to convince yourself that you have to be involved in everything.

We’re learning that building the right team, trusting good people and putting good systems in place matters just as much as being the ones physically there.

Do I still check my phone? Of course. 😂

Have we talked about Coastline while we’re supposed to be getting away? Also yes.

But we’re working on it.

For today, we’re trading property checks and pink tool bags for a little time together. 🤍

Sometimes it really is the little things.

Our cleaning team recently noticed the decorative blankets in one of our homes needed a deeper clean, so they pulled them to be commercially washed. That kind of attention matters.

The same goes for maintenance. A light out, a loose handle, something showing wear—we want to catch it before a guest does.

That consistent care is a big part of what keeps guests coming back year after year, and sometimes multiple times a year. 🤍

That’s what hands-on management looks like to us.
