Motor City Ruck Club
Detroit-area rucking community. Ruck β’ Walk β’ Show Up. All experience levels welcome.
Friday morning jog with Atlas before work.
Did about 3 miles. Did the same loop as I did earlier this week.
This week I've done a total of 17 miles of Rucking and 10 miles of running. 4 of those miles was with the gentlemen of this morning.
It's always a joy to be around them and grind as a collective. They're inspiration!!!
Now, it's time for a salt bath! π
11 mile ruck today.
Feels like the first long haul ruck in a while.
Couple guys asked me how far I was going and I told them all the way around. I was feeling a lil smoked already though. πππ

No Weight Carried Alone
Yesterday morning before work.
For several months, I've been Rucking on Tuesdays and Thursdays before work.
I call these "maintenance rucks" as they keep me prepared for my Saturday rucks which I call "long haul rucks" where I'm out for hours praying, thinking, clearing my head, and enjoying the peace that naturally comes with walking and Rucking.
No Weight Carried Alone
This last Sunday I was feeling as tight as a rubber band so I set out for a recovery walk.
It turned into a jog. π
It was sprinkling, but of course it started raining.
πππ
I did it anyway!
I'm not a runner, but I know I want to add it in a bit as it demands something different than rucking does.
I just want to challenge myself. Challenge my assumptions of what I believe I can or can't do.
I learned Sunday that: I can do it!!!
Special shout out to as you all are behind the motivation for me even think that I could run. If only but a little.

Good people and good miles this morning at Belle Isle.
Appreciate the BMR crew for having me out.
Different clubs. Same roads.
No Weight Carried Alone.
Good miles on the Ralph Wilson Trail today at Belle Isle with the BMR crew.
Different clubs. Same roads. Same pursuit of growth through movement, challenge, and community.
Appreciate you all having me out.
No Weight Carried Alone
Quick early morning ruck before work.
After Jay finished his trail run, he threw on his ruck, called me, then we met on the trail and finished together.
We walked, talked, joked, and laughed.
Studies have shown that people in remote/mountainous regions who do these things together live the longest.
Even if you're not sure about rucking, join us to walk and talk. You can decide later.
