A lobby shaped by light, material, and the moments in between.

A new project is taking shape.

One of the first ADUs to be approved in this Metro Detroit city, this compact addition explores what can happen when new possibilities meet an existing urban fabric.

More to come.

Honored to share that the AC Hotel at the Bonstelle has received an award for Historic Rehabilitation.

The project, completed in collaboration with Stantec, brings new life to a significant Detroit landmark while preserving the character and history of the original building.

A meaningful recognition of the care, craft, and collaboration behind the work. Grateful to everyone who helped bring this project to life.

Currently in construction, with a focus on restraint, materiality, and a quiet sense of permanence. Looking forward to seeing this one take shape.

Highlighting PTD’s summer intern, Jessie Alway.

She was our team’s go to for all tasks big and small. Her can-do attitude, willingness to learn and sunny disposition made her the perfect addition to our team.

Wishing Jessie all the best in her future endeavors.

The Plaza, one of Detroit’s historic buildings locally known as the Hammer & Nail building, is getting a refresh.

The 12-story mid-century modern landmark is being transformed by The Roxbury Group into an Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. PTD’s design celebrates the building’s architectural roots through iconic MillerKnoll furnishings, period-inspired details, and a warm, layered material palette bringing new life to this downtown Detroit icon while honoring its mid-century character.

Stay tuned for a first look at the guestrooms coming soon.

Led by Molly Redigan, Lead Designer/Architect, this tenant amenity space on the 13th floor of Minoru Yamasaki’s iconic 1 Woodward building uses warm woods, richly colored upholstery, and architectural details paying homage to the building’s architecture to make the space feel less like an office and more like a private club. It’s comfortable enough for a morning coffee, polished enough for a client meeting, and flexible enough to become whatever tenants need throughout the day. It’s hospitality, elevated.

Recognition like this reflects more than individual talent. It speaks to the people, ideas, and culture shaping the future of our industry.

Congratulations to Trinity on being named to Interior Design 30/30, recognizing emerging designers who are making a meaningful impact within their firms and beyond.

It’s always an honor to work on the home of a designer we admire. This David Osler-designed, tiered treehouse- inspired residence in Ann Arbor offers the opportunity to honor its original character while thoughtfully shaping its next chapter.

A sense of place is built through more than architecture. Rich materials, warm light, and quietly considered details create spaces that honor history while feeling entirely present.
