-- I've tinkered with cut pressures and passes dozens of times. It's a fine balancing act between having enough pressure/passes so the sticker is cut through and not so much pressure that the backing paper is cut. I've thought: less pressure, more passes // more pressure, less passes. I'm thinking the more complex the shape, the less likely I'll get a clean cut like I did with these.

-- I'm beginning to wonder if a different cutting machine would provide better, more consistent results. I've been using Cricut's machines and software for almost a decade. Is switching or upgrading worth the time and effort to learn a new machine? Hmmm....

At the beginning of Summer, I received a special request to design and make a 30th birthday sticker for a dear friend. Read on to learn about the process.

After the design is completed, the stickers are printed out and laminated with vinyl before being cut.

Once removed from the cutting mat, the excess border is carefully pulled away with an exact-o knife to create an easy-peel tab.

Stickers are checked for blemishes, and the ones that pass are stamped with the studio's name.

Taking a final moment to admire the sticker before packing it up to be sent out. 🙂

Playing around and made my first ever keychain! 🤩 Jewelry making with wire has my attention. I'm in the process of assembling a new necklace out of a charm that broke a few years ago.
