The great thing about decorating is we are allowed to do whatever our eyes want to see!
Trees are available for us to build with and clay and heat to make tile . ….Wool and fabrics to make rugs and pillows .
We can live in a room full of wood that has stain or wood that is painted or no wood at all !
When I see the wood police I typically laugh ! The wood doesn’t care if it’s painted or stained .
Which room do you prefer ?

I have a few days between jobs so doing some fall decorating in my house .
I’ve been collecting silverplate for my Christmas theme table . Google says I need to clean it but still leave some age.

Before and after . I primed the red wall let cure then hung R***e Paper Co. Garden Party linen color wallpaper .
We also painted the walls a great color my client picked out : Benjamin Moore , Olympic Mountains .

“Before” is the dark doors which are made with a plywood then have veneer over that .
I took it apart and had Trent help put it back together ! (Best handyman around ). It was built with the home in 1950. Still functions and looks pretty cute ! The antique hammered copper hardware is just amazing .
Thank you to our clients .

I took on a hand built kitchen from early 1950. The hardware is also hand made (each one is a little different)
As I work I try to imagine the person who did all this work so many years ago . I am trying to respect the maker and add some more years of life to it.

We’re working on two big projects at the moment but I was able to hang some adorable wallpaper with whimsical sunflowers and wildflowers at another client’s house this morning .

Maggie once again totally gave this piece a new life .

I will be responding quickest to texts so if you need immediate communication this month that is the best way to reach me . When I have wallpaper glue, paint or stain on my hands I can only read texts and do talk to text . -Erin

It’s grapevine wreath season so when I saw this giant oval wreath with some worn out decor I grabbed it for $10.49 plus half off at goodwill .
I challenged myself to use all thrifted or stems from my own fall storage bins to create a new design.
I had to stop myself twice from about jumping in the car to go to the store to buy new stems but I ended up with this design .
A relaxing craft for a fall afternoon.
