Every athlete believes they’ll be different.
Just one more season.
Just one more game.
Just one more practice.
Sometimes those decisions create lifelong memories. Sometimes they come with risks that aren’t fully understood until years later.
This isn’t about telling athletes what to do. It’s about asking a question we don’t ask often enough:
Have we given them all the information they deserve before they decide?
The best decisions are informed decisions.
That’s why awareness matters.

Coaches: If you lead athletes, you need to understand what’s happening inside their brains.
At StopCTE.org Harvard neuroscientist Dr. Daniel Daneshvar breaks down CTE in a way that gives coaches clear insight into how repeated hits, not just concussions, impact long-term brain health.

CTE ISN’T A DEBATE. IT’S A DISEASE.
CTE is not a political issue.
It’s not a theory.
It’s not an opinion.
It’s a progressive brain disease that has been identified in hundreds of individuals exposed to repetitive head impacts.
People can debate policy.
People can debate age restrictions.
People can debate rule changes.
But the existence of CTE is not up for debate.
Behind every diagnosis is a person.
A family.
A teammate.
A story that changed forever.
We don’t raise awareness to create fear.
We raise awareness to encourage informed decisions, support continued research, and protect future generations of athletes.
Acknowledging CTE doesn’t mean turning away from sports. It means caring enough to make them safer.
Awareness isn’t anti-sports.
Awareness is pro-athlete.
Science should inform the conversation. People should remain at the center of it.

WHO GETS TO DECIDE WHAT “SAFE ENOUGH” MEANS?
The athlete?
The parent?
The coach?
The doctor?
The league?
The truth is, there is no such thing as a risk-free sport.
But there is a difference between accepting risk and understanding it.
Every parent deserves honest information before making a decision.
Every athlete deserves a voice in decisions that could affect the rest of their life.
Every coach deserves the education to recognize when protecting a player matters more than winning.
And every family deserves access to the facts—not assumptions, not traditions, and not “that’s just how we’ve always done it.”
The goal isn’t to eliminate sports.
The goal is to make informed decisions based on evidence, not pressure.
Because brain health is too important to leave out of the conversation.
If this conversation matters to you, don’t let it end here.

THE SILENCE AROUND CTE IS COSTING LIVES‼️
Too many families are left searching for answers.
Too many athletes suffer in silence.
Too many warning signs are dismissed until it’s too late.
Not because people don’t care.
Because talking about brain health is hard.
But staying silent has never protected anyone.
The conversation you start today could change a life tomorrow.
Help us bring CTE out of the shadows. Share this message. Start the conversation. Protect the next generation.

BRAIN HEALTH SHOULDN’T BE CONTROVERSIAL‼️
Protecting knees isn’t controversial.
Protecting hearts isn’t controversial.
Protecting lungs isn’t controversial.
So why is protecting the brain?
Brain health should never be viewed as taking sides.
It isn’t about being anti-football.
It isn’t about being anti-sports.
Wanting better education, more research, safer practices, and honest conversations shouldn’t divide us.
Because every athlete only gets one brain, and every family deserves access to information that helps them make informed decisions.
It should be one of the few things everyone can agree on.
BRAIN HEALTH SHOULDN’T BE CONTROVERSIAL.

IF CTE COULD TALK, WHAT WOULD IT SAY? 🤔
“I don’t arrive overnight.
I don’t always announce myself.
I don’t care how many championships you won.
I don’t care how tough you were.
I don’t care what level you played.
I only care about exposure.
Learn about me before I become part of someone else’s story.”
