to award a Bucks Innovation and Improvement to Mitzvah Circle to meet rising community demand for necessities, including clothing, diapers, menstrual products, and toiletries. Every day, families in our communities face poverty, homelessness, serious illness, and unexpected hardships. When a crisis hits, the ensures that parents can work, children can go to school, and no one has to choose between food and hygiene.

Week 9 of the program featured a presentation about the United Way of Bucks County's ALICE program and a visit to One House at a Time to tour the new warehouse and help with its "Beds for Kids" program for our 13 interns last week.

Students participating in use their academic, social, and problem-solving skills to address community needs. They are “matched” with select serving for a 10-week, paid internship with the opportunity to earn college credits. Since 2008, 228 college students have completed the program contributing 65,664 service hours to nonprofits serving Bucks County.

On National Intern Day, we are of all 241 interns who have shared their skills with the community in through our program. Collectively, these interns participated in service learning at 42 nonprofits, contributing nearly 70,000 service hours. Thank you for all you have done for your community.

to award a Bucks Innovation and Improvement to the United Way of Bucks County to support Bucks Knocks Out Hunger, a community-driven meal-packing initiative, and Tools for School, addressing students’ broader barriers to academic success. United Way of Bucks County creates opportunities for quality education, financial stability, and good health to ensure real, lasting change for individuals and our communities.

to award a Bucks Innovation and Improvement to Pennridge RamPacks to help establish a fluid food pantry at Pennridge High School to allow food insecure students to shop for weekend and holiday food. RamPacks provides food on weekends and school holidays to children experiencing food insecurity in the Pennridge School District so they are able to come to school ready to learn.

Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County welcomed our 13 interns last week for Week 8 of the program. The group learned about the 's dedication to eliminating substandard housing in through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes.
