These questions work for any big move, not only buying or selling a house. A new job. A new relationship. A new city. A new home.
I sat down and answered these journaling prompts myself this week, about my own decision to build a career in real estate. I closed my journal feeling unstoppable.
Save this one. You’ll want it again before the next big decision, whatever it turns out to be.
This Thursday 9/24, I’m leading Chakra Meditation for Life Decisions at the Luxury Open House + Meditation Circle in Rollingwood, one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Austin, zoned to Eanes ISD.

I’ve started over more times than I can count.
Kazakhstan to Texas at 16. Accounting to airlines. A village to The White House. A yoga studio to a boutique hotel.
And now, real estate in Austin.
None of it was part of a plan. I just kept saying yes to the next version of myself before I felt ready for it.
That’s what I actually do for my clients now. Not just find them a house. Help them step into whoever they’re becoming next.
If you’re in the middle of your own reinvention and Austin is part of it, comment CHAPTER and I’ll send you my free course on buying your next home here. 🏡
We went game day shopping today.
My daughter started her freshman year at UT this fall. She lives on West Campus now, which still feels strange to say out loud.
I’m not much of a football person. I wanted a reason to spend the day with her. She wanted a game day outfit. Easy trade.
We went to BeeHive Boutique, right here in Westlake next to Randall’s. It’s locally owned, a short walk from our house in Woodhaven, and somehow always has the cutest stuff for these kinds of days.
This is the version of Westlake life I love talking about most. Not just the real estate side. The part where you watch your kid grow up and still get a casual afternoon like this with them.
If you’ve got a kid away at college right now, or about to be, I want to hear about it. Comment with where they ended up and what year they’re in.
And if you know another Westlake mom in the middle of the same season, send her this one. She’ll know exactly why.
Why did I become a Realtor in Austin? The funny thing is… it wasn’t actually my idea.
It was my husband Roger’s.
For more than 20 years, we’ve had this beautiful dynamic in our relationship.
He sees possibilities. I make things happen.
He dreams it. I manifest it into reality. ✨
That’s how we built YogaOne into seven yoga studios. It’s how we created Blue Sky Retreat Center in Taos, New Mexico. We built businesses together, grew them, and eventually sold them.
So when Roger told me, “You should go into real estate. You’d be really good at it,” I trusted him.
And he was right.
Becoming an Austin Realtor brought together so many seemingly unrelated parts of my life: my background as a CPA, entrepreneurship, marketing, negotiation, my love of people, and yes… even manifestation.
Because whether I’m helping someone buy a home in Austin, Westlake, Cuernavaca or Eanes ISD, I always want to know:
What are you trying to create?
Then we take that vision, turn it into a strategy, and do the work to make it real.
Maybe that’s why real estate feels so natural to me.
That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing my entire life. ❤️
If you’re thinking about buying a home in Austin, DM me HOME and I’ll send you our free Austin Home Buyer Course.
Or send this to someone who’s dreaming about their next chapter in Austin.

This isn’t a typical open house 🏠
Tomorrow night 9/10 we’re opening the doors of a beautiful new build in Woodhaven. Then we’re closing them behind us for something different.
Roger and I are leading a conversation on relationships: The Dance of the Feminine & the Masculine. Twenty-five years married, and we’re still learning.
We’d love for you to join us.

Walton’s Fancy & Staple is part bakery, part café, part flower shop and completely charming. 🌸🥐
It’s places like this that make me love living and working in Austin.
As an Austin Realtor, I believe knowing a city goes far beyond knowing the real estate. It’s knowing the neighborhoods, the hidden gems, the local favorites and the lifestyle that makes people want to call Austin home. 🤍
