So I guess I’ve been doing it wrong for all these years. Maybe I’ll have to give back all those many millions I’ve made! 🙂

Seriously, I love getting emails like this…

Because in the “business world” that I’ve been operating in for 30 years, we get to make our own rules. 

I mean, if you’re going to put in the hard work to create a business, shouldn’t it be a world where you want to live in?

So I’ve built exactly the business I want…

One where I go skiing every Friday in the winter…

Where I can head into the wilderness on river trips for weeks at a time…

A business where I build a Secret Headquarters… and yes, where we actually create superhero campaigns for our clients.

One where I can help a lot of people, do massive good in the world… and make a crazy amount of money.

And possibly most important: a business where I get to pick the people I want to work with.

Life is too short to work with grumpy people.

In fact, one of the criteria that I listed for my upcoming mastermind is this:

“You’re cool… and you’re fun to hang out with.” 

Irony of ironies - that criteria was listed in the email that John responded to. So, of course, John just self-selected out of being someone I would have at my mastermind. 🙂

It’s your business. You get to make the rules. Play the game you want to play… and make it a game you want to win.
